Course Description: The complete course combines CPR and first Aid training to teach
participants how to:
- Recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in infant, children and adults
- Perform first aid for cuts, scrapes bruises, burns, bleeding, sprains and, strains
- Treat sudden illness, including poisoning and heat and cold emergencies
- Minimize the effects of shock
- Recognize emergencies and take action
- Understand the role of automated external defibrillator's (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of
Survival
Course Length: First Aid only:4 hours course is designs to add option.
Adult CPR(+2 hours), Infant & child CPR (+ 2 hours)
Full course (first Aid, adult, child and infant CPR) 6.5 hours
Intended Audience: Employees of schools, civic and youth groups, child care centers, other
orgainiations/corporations, parents and community members.
Required Student Materials,Community First Aid & Safety Text and completion card are all
included in the fee.
Card Type: Course completion first aid (3 years), CPR (1 year)
Written/Skills Exam: Required for completion card
